Shed Hunting

Someone told me about a contraption where you build something like a W with Wood Stakes and Hog Wire, You put the corn inside the V and the deer come in to eat and the antlers get stuck in the hog wire.... Anyone ever tried this?

Do a search on "Antler Trap" and select the "Game Trail Cameras & Camcorders" forum. A number of guys have posted their antler traps.

a five gallon pail with corn in it will accomplish the same thing. In my opinion if the antlers are that close to falling off you won't need anything to help the process. I feed deer every year in my yard and theres always a few laying right in my yard with out building anything to knock them off.
