I had always heard that rodents like to chew on bones and antlers because of the calcium or maybe to sharpen their teeth. But I see all these pictures of old sheds and they don't appear to have been touched. I found 5 old sheds last weekend and they were weathered but untouched by rodents. So I go out this weekend and I see the knobby end of a shed and it has pretty good mass. When I pull it out of the leaves it had been knawed pretty good by something.
