Sigma 80-400 OS

I just got this lens, first post with it. It's heavy but very sharp!

400mm, f9, ISO 400, 1/500, Nikon D50

Wow Wapiti! That's just outstanding! How far away was he when you took the picture? And what is that hanging from his tail feathers?

Also, did you shoot this image RAW and then convert it to JPEG?

He was about 20 feet away, I shot it in RAW and converted.

I think he had flown thru a spider web, not sure what is hanging from his tail.
