I went out yesterday to see if I could find a shed in the snow and to get an update of the deer.Saw alot of half racks and some still carrying both sides.I usually don't go out looking with snow unless the bug really hits bad.it's been past that stage for awhile.
Yesterday I walked the trails in the snow mainly trying to learn more just where the deer go,learned alot too.
Anyway,I managed to find 2 sheds. One was laying in one of those surburbian yards and the other in a deer bed void of snow. Both were dropped after the snows hit and laying on top of it.It wasn't til a little later that I found what I was looking for.
I wanted to find a shed buried in the snow with only the tines showing or only a part exposed.
I spotted a tine sticking out of the snow.It looked fresh and of nice size.I took a picture then went to pull it out when I realized it was a busted off rack.It busted off just above the brow tine.It didn't matter that it vwasn't a shed,we count any antler found as a shed if it's not attached.
