Well we have a buch of snow on the ground and it is still falling,and the temperatures are going to stay cold so that means it will be here for awhile. I love it! now i can see what the deer are doing....Oh and lets all remember that Doe's pick up thier feet like they are afraid to get them wet,but a Buck will Draaaag his hind feet through the snow.and we still have until the 15th of January!!

I was watching the local news in St. Louis and they had their helicopter up in Town & Country, a suburb of St. Louis. They were showing the deer in the snow.
If your not familiar, Town & Country has a ton of deer but they cannot be hunted due to the area in St. Louis County.
They showed 3 does walking through a field and all of a sudden a huge buck showed up lip curling. He started chasing one of the does.
Maybe the rut, pre rut or something is still going on. He was for sure interested in what was going on with the does.
Go figure!

Yes i would imagine that the rut here is not over by a long shot,a person could probably see some action all the way into January.the deer will sure be easy to see coming right now
but they will see us hunters moving real well also.
