I shot these pigs in California. They were shot with the 270 and the furthest shot was 250 yds, I dropped two at that range, and they scattered and started to run towads me giving me closer shots. They averaged between 80 and 90 pounds. Awesome eating.

For all you pig hunters if you dont have shooting sticks then your missing out, also quality optics is a must. Good luck to everyone going on the POR hunt in May, wish I could of attended.

. My last kill was at 235yds. at 10:30 in the morning. Managed to get my wife a shot at less than 50yds. the same evening. Mine was working down a Grandcanyon of a slope and wouldn't have presented any better of a shot. Gotta love a nice setup when making those long shots. Two shots, two kills that day. I guess the million dollar question would be where abouts were you??

Anyways congrats

Lets just say I have been hunting VAFB quite frequently with no results. Everything is so grown up and water everywhere. The pigs arent moving untill night fall and when they move they dont have to move very far. VAFB has been hunted very hard for pigs recently in the past year. Even though it is open to military only man it gets pounded. I shot these pigs North of VAFB.
