Last weekend me and two buddies hiked the 2 miles into one of our favorite archery only areas. We saw a ton of sign, I saw 7 hogs and a goat and my friends claim they saw about 20 goats and 30 hogs. I missed a 40 yard shot at a 17" black billy with a really tall rack, not too wide but sky high. My bow isn't tuned right and the arrow porpoised hitting the ground right behind his front foot. I also bumped into a mama and bunch of babies. Before I saw the babies I drew back on the mom as she grunted and circled around me, she stopped behind a bush with her vitals perfectly hidden. I couldn't take the shot and she got away. Then I was walking down and saw the babies. I snapped a pic of one and kept going. Later in the afternoon I bumped into a boar a sow and a small pig under an avocado tree. I didn't get a good shot and they all got away. Had a fun day, hiked probably about 10 miles total over steep cliffsides. Ran out of food and had to resort to fruit, sugar cane and heart of palm. My friend ended up shooting a small sow and almost got a shot off on a boar with one tusk curling back to it's ear.
