I've been seeing tons of acorns on the ground, and some good herds of fat hogs. I've noticed alot of little porkers of varying sizes. Everything from tiny footballs, to fat little 40 lbs' rs. Should be a good year....

Ditto on that. With all of the acorns on the ground, and it seems like more than usual, bigger also (at least in my neck of the woods) it looks like a mass population year. If the water comes and stays, all of the making for a green light for mother nature.....time for maken-bacon.

That's great Mike, looks like the whole state is having a huge acorn crop. Gotta like fat and happy critters to hunt

Napa/Sonoma were busting with acorns, and here even the scrawniest scrub oak is loaded up and throwing them down in waves.

I talked to another guy down near hollister

who said the acorns are so deep he doesn't think the pigs will be able to eat them all.

This is good for all the critters, and the pigs especially who will be big and fat moving onto the green grass in winter and spring. I'm planning on doing a lot of pig hunts this next year.

Westy and me were sitting on a little hill waiting on the rooters to appear the other afternoon and the acorns were thick and fat out in front of us. Looked like a bumper crop to me. Socal area, Riverside Co.
