Hey Jason,
the huts will start up again in november so you can expect the pigs to be knocking at your door by then. Looks like we will be hunting into april this year as well.

He's an eater, sweet meat and was real fat and healthy. The ranch I hunt is private but is only about 1/2 mile uphill from the lake. The lake is government land and has public hunting access from November through April for archery and crossbow hunting. There are lots of pigs but you definetly have to work for them in that country (public or private; except for my fathers day pig-he committed suicide check out the post) , it can be steep and thick one ridge and rolling and open the next. There are quite a few folks on this site that are far better hunters than me and get into the hogs on the Lake on a regular basis. As November gets closer they will start posting and would (if you archery or crossbow hunt) probally love to show you the ropes around the Lake.

Hey Frisco, thanks for the info. I dont get up that far too often, but the next time I do I'll make sure it's between November and April :)

I love to bow-hunt but so far am un-blooded. I leave for Colorado in 10 days and can't wait to try Archery Elk round duex.
