I thought I was the resident spammer here

Blehst, I'm very curious why the last image in this thread is one of your favorites? The images that you posted of the snow and stream, snow and hay rolls and etc. where much better. These are lacking any composition. I think they would have looked much better if you included most of the trees in them. Also, if you are going to try shooting through an object like tree branches, the back ground should be something spectacular to draw the viewers attention past the foreground (like an awesome sunset shot through palm trees).

There are a few web-sites out there with critique forms, posting images there is a great way to learn what 'works' and what doesn't. You also learn by critiquing other peoples images. A couple are Fred Miranda and Photographyreview (Fred Miranda has an outstanding landscape forum).

I hope this reply doesn't seem too harsh, I wasn't trying to be a @#^%

blah clutch im not really here to be a pro im here to show off what i think is good in my taste.. i love these photos.. they capture my eye.. everyones got there opinion its all good thanks. i couldnt really get pictures with all the trees cuz there are houses all around me and these were the only shots where i didnt have them in view.. in my pictures i dont like seeing anything to do with civilization.. or presence of human beings.. the last one is my fav cuz i just love it when theres precipitation and theres a nice sun behind it.. and i love snow so ya. i do believe my snow pictures were better. but i seem to have a thing for sunsets. peace

Sorry Blehst, if you like them that's all that matters. I was just trying to be a little helpful. If you follow some simple rules your images will turn out a lot nicer... like the 'rule of thirds,' took me a while to figure that one out

I kept reading follow the rule of thirds, but no one would ever say what the rule of thirds was.
