Just seen this on NM game and fish site, applies to special hunts.

"Special hunts applicants have until midnight MDT June 24 to change their credit card account information. "

I cannot find an article associated with it just go to the main page mentioned above and you can find the link from there.

Reason why you might do it......You had a credit card that was used fraudently and was subsequently canceled. You were issued a new number, but New Mexico has the old number. You draw, and they charge the old number. You won't get your tag. Other reason might be that you made a large purchase and are bumping up against the limit on the card that you're using.

What I mean is why are they allowing this. Results are due on the 21st not the 24th.

The link is on there, and I need it bad. The only problem is that I am missing my application numbers.

Any thoughts on how to get them.

Only one i have is to call them this morning and beg them to look them up for me.

Paul,

Are you trying to change your CC info or check the results? I'd love it if the results were up today.

Greek, thanks we just finished getting it all taken care of.

This whole application process has been a comedy of errors on my part.

first we had to cancel the credit card, 2nd, the email address that i have had for 5 years got messed up when my son when to create a email address for an employee of mine so i lost my email address about 6 weeks ago so i could not go back and get my application numbers.

We had to beg help from the inundated NMGF employees and get gave us all of our app numbers. We just finished entering all of that info.

Now i just sit and cross my fingers.

paulc, glad I can help. I sure hope you get a tag and I sure hope you bag a big one! I will be mostly "guiding" other people this year, I have quiding in quotes because I am not sure I am good enought to qualify as a guide :) in fact I know I am not. However, I am motivated and that alone sometimes with a bit help from lady luck produces results. There is one guy in particular that has never shot a big game animal before and I would like to take off the length of his hunt to help him out. It would be nice if he got a bull, he is a good friend and his sucess would make me extremely happy. W' see. Other than that I will most likely be getting a CO elk tag OTC for myself, not sure for which unit yet but I have a few days to figure that out. Then there is a deer hunt that I will be going to, once more I am not doing any hunting myself, another friend drew out for a heck of a deer hunt in the Gunisson Basin (CO) and he wants a trophy so I'll get up there and help him scout and glass and hopefully get on a big one. Other than that there will be plennty of coyote hunting, quail, ducks, dove and anything else that will give me an excuse to get out there..also I will be going to CA 2-3 days for chuckar with my friends from Los Angeles. None of them put in for big game this year, they all have babies due during most seasons we wantde to put in for and it is the first one for both of them. Well, good luck to them, good luck to you, every other hunter in the forum and lets keep them pics coming in!

Greek, that is what i pretty much did last year (guiding family and freinds). We got 4 bulls family and freinds 3 real nice ones and my 12 year old daughter got a small one.

So far this year none of my family or freinds have drawn a bull tag only cow tags. That is really gonna stink. I now have to think about buying a landowner if i dont draw the valle caldera bull.

hot damn paulc, sounds like you guys did pretty good last year. I have given some thought into the NM landowner situtation and who know maybe but not likely. Hey, at least we get to go hunting :) after all if you are out there and help somebody out to get a nice animal in my opinion most of the work has been done, so what that you did not pull the trigger right?

Right on the money Greek.

Last year 2 of the bulls were my kids filling their youth bull tags. A big 6x5 and a 4x4. Kids were 16 and 12 respectively.

Those were both more exciting than any animal I ever shot because it was my kids.

By the way i just heard from a freind that he drew a bull rifle in unit 34. He missed a huge 7x3 last year and i cant believe that he drew again this year. He is the only one that did not fill his bull tag last year with me.
