Not just you. My October is pretty haywire too, as I'm out of town from 10/08-10/22.

Also, as a self-employed person, slipping out on weekdays can be tricky as I don't get paid for "sick time" or vacations anymore.

It's always tough to coordinate this kind of thing... Mike, your efforts are definitely appreciated! You guys who haven't met and hunted with Mike yet are in for a treat.

Yes, that's the fall Turkey opener. Reminder: in the fall season you can bag one (1) turkey, either sex.

ps:I was out on a bike ride in the rain and saw a group of 8 hogs. All 80-100 pounders. I just sat and watched them for a moment, gotta love that.

We could quite possibly get skunked. I'm lookin' at a one day hunt if we do it on the 11th as I'm leavin' for Yosemite with a train load of 8th graders Sunday morning. I'd have to bug out of there by 1 p.m. sat. I know it's a lot of travelling for you guys for a short hunt. The option is to do it another weekend and spend the night, thus hunting an evening(which is quite good up there) and the next day. A campfire is always nice as well

It's up to you guys. Talk amongst yourselves and come up with a plan, I'm easy. I don't know if Lake Sonoma is open around that time but it's real close, so maybe you guys could combine the two. Talk it up and let me know....
