I heard from him today... sounds like he's pretty busy, but still planning to join us...

I did get the info from Mike and my plan is to be there.

The only tricky spot is I just started a new business so that could toss a monkey wrench into things.

But I'm hoping to be there.

I'll keep you posted either way.[/b]

C'mon rain! I want tracks, wallows, and soggy mast
<
[/b]
Showers are now predicted for next Saturday and Sunday. Should make for excellent conditions to quite the crunchies and keep scent down.

Also, based on my rigorous kinetic calculations, if the wind is coming from the northwest at 8 mph and it's drizzling at a rate of 0.15"/hour, and if I make my usual range estimation error of adding approximately 15 yards to any given shot, the added aerodynamic drag on the wet arrow will almost compensate my mistake and I will only shoot over the pig's back by an inch or so. But if it really starts to pour, watch out pigs because my rig and keen range-overestimating eye will be dialed in solid!

Whoooo-boy, this is gonna be fun!

I have not walked up into the property. It's been left pristine for several months. The only footprints we should see are pigs, deer and turkeys. So, no, I haven't seen any because I haven't been on the property itself. I have seen loads on the road going in and on neighboring ranches. Since we only have until noon to hunt, don't expect too much. Only 6 days left, FT and Kentuck, RSVP ASAP

I've had my fingers crossed that you were going to make it back in time to chase some pigs. Hope you can make it! Probably not enough notice to have elk jerky made by Saturday, but just in case you have nuthin better to do, I like elk jerky!
<
Congrats on your Idaho trip... looks like great fun!

Good luck tomorrow morning fellas, knock 'em down! There looks to be some showers in the forecast for the morning, that would quiet things down for ya.
<
If anyone sees a really big old boar all grey in the muzzle smack him good and let me know where the wound from my arrow was
<
I'd like to think the old feller is still upright.

BC, stop by my place on the way home from the hunt and I'll give you some of the elk jerky I picked up yesterday and a few steaks.

Hey, you guys should be sleeping... storing up some energy before the hunt!

I don't wanna hear about bleary-eyed misses or excuses!

That's my territory.

8:00pm and the truck is packed, camo is layed out nice and neat, broadheads are sharpened, and coffee is set to start perking at the crack of 2:00AM! That's gonna leave a mark!

Yahoo! Maps calls it about a 95 minute drive from my place, so leaving Redwood City at 2:45 am should put me in Healdsburg right on time, provided the drunks stay out of my way.
