I have the Nikon. It came with the tripod, case etc. It's a good durable waterproof scope. I preferred it to the B&L in a heads up comparison. Don't know about the Burris.

I have a Baush&Lomb Elite 15-45x60mm. It's has exceptional optics. It's water/fogproof (nitrogen purged), fully-multi coated, PC- phase coated, and it's compact. I've had it now for 4 yrs, and have had no problems. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

I've compared the B&L to Burris spotter and found the B&L was better, plus has a lower price tag. I've also looked through the Nikon Spotter (which looks just like the B&L) and found no apparent difference. Except the Nikon is more exspensive. I've also compared the B&L Elite to Redfield, Leupold, Bushnell Spacemaster, and Tasco. I've found the B&L Elite to be the best buy.

You can't go wrong with either the Nikon or the B&L Elite but dollar for dollar, you far more ahead with the Baush&Lomb Elite 15-45x60mm.

Good choice - and you won't be afraid to hump it into the backcountry

The U.S. Army snipers use the Baush & Lomb Elite 15-45x60mm spotting scopes and Bushnell tripods. It's called the M114. It's a part of the U.S. Army's M24 SWS.
If it's good enough for the U.S. Army sniper programs, it should be good enough for hunters.

My choice is a Leopold Variable 12x40. It is light rubber coated and very, very clear. You can look thru it all day and not strain your eyes. Yes it is more than the others, but it gets a lot more use/abuse from me than any of my individual weapons and I've never had a problem.....hronk
