been looking on (onXhunt) app for places to find turkeys I found a few places that looked promising down in San Diego county spent some time at the end of march beginning of April seen some hens on private land and the road side heard a few Gobles at the campsite but no luck in seening any Toms/jakes . Seen one other hunter while I was out trying to find access to public land I talk to some rangers while out scouting I ask about a few places I seen on onX and they reassured me I could be looking in some possible areas to hold game doing some more research I decided to go out at the end of this April I camp out for a few days didn’t hear anything while I was there Turkey wise no tracks only found one piece of scat . Lots of deer tracks seen some fox scat seen a few cat tracks . no luck on turkeys had a good time hunting in the Cleveland national forest . Looking forward to the Fall turkey season . Many years ago, I was involved in the early set up for the NWTF in SD county. Back then, they were planting birds on Palomar Mountain. Not sure how well they established, but try there. I left So Cal before there were enough birds to hunt, but I did read here on JHO that some guy had called a few up there.

Good luck!
