The entry points at Halleluja Junction and Truckee were both manned AND STOPPING TRAFFIC for the first time in years two weeks ago, coming back from Coon Camp Springs. I haven't had to stop at either of those places since at least 1997.My Dad and I were antelope hunting in the Likely Tables area around Alturas in 99. We were able to get permission to hunt some private ground out of Davis Creek and to get back to Alturas you had to go through the Ag check station. We ended up on the Garden and Dad got his antelope. Never left CA. Going back through to Alturas we were stopped and had to fill out the declaration form. I was a little irritated considering we didn't leave CA and it was a CA kill and I wanted to get to the meat locker before they closed and this was making us push the time. What a waste.
The other thing is, do you all know how many entry points in to CA aren't manned? I can think of two right off the top of my head.[/b]
