Thats stupid!!!
what do they want? a license for that too??

I have never found a shed, but I would darn sure pick it up if I did,
law or no law against it.

Pa. just passed a law last year to make it legal to
keep sheds, but before that nobody ever inforced it.
Md. right now it is still against the law to keep or have in your
possession sheds.I personally have talked to DNR Officers,Park
Rangers, and county police among others and they all say they
don't worry about sheds. Its cut-offs or racks still on the skull they
inforce. All claim they realize sheds were dropped naturally and deer
was not taken illegally.

eddie thicket-That's great to hear!! I wish I had saved my e-mail from
when I asked the Md. DNR about sheds.I e-mailed them 2-3 years ago
and was told it was against the law to have sheds in your possession
for any reason.
The response I'd get from anyone I talked to in person was that sheds
were dropped naturally and that they did not inforce the collecting of sheds.
I even talked to a DNR officer in the field this past hunting season and was
told the same. They only inforce when antlers are still attached to skull, but yes
it was against the law to collect sheds in Md.
Glad I now have something in print saying I have a green light for my passion.
THANKS for posting!!!

Could you forward me a copy of your e-mail to the DNR and their response?
I would really appreciate it,I'd make a copy and carry while shed hunting.
Thanks!!
