I contacted DFG Captain (Mike Cairon) re: the use of two-way radios after reading about them possibly violating fair chase laws.

Here's what he had to say:

Mr. S , (Last Nm. edited)

Sorry for the delay in reponse. I was out of the office most of last
week...

I do not kow of any prohibition for use of two way radios in pursuit of
game. There have been some regulations on use of GPS and Treeing
collars with dogs for oursuit of bear, and electronic decoys for
waterfowl, but nothing yet on radios for general take.

Be sure to not mix the radio communication with use of motorized
vehicles as this is a violation of the law.

Good Luck and feel free to ask questions anytime.

Mike

Sorry, Guys
Just realized the topic says "DGF" and it should read "DFG".
Don't know how to edit topic titles.

It's fixed F350. Also, this is the California DFG, that F350 is talking about.

That's good because I plan to use radios this weekend.
