I was on the way back to Santa Barbara from Fresno with the family tonight on 101S and saw the above mentioned truck with some ivories sticking out of the truck, looked like someone was playing a football game on your video screen, anybody from JHO, I also might have seen a Mulie rack as well.

I believe it was somewhere near Buellton

You saw the Elks back teeth hanging out of the truck?

yep, also I jumped in the bed and measured them for em, right at 300" plus or minus 80mph winds.

Also the guys playing the football video game should really run more cover 2, that way they can disrupt the timing of the receivers.

I think my point was the Ivories are in the back of an Elks mouth.

I think my point was that while the ivories are actually where you said, who really gives a rats rear end, it is a commonly used reference to the white on the tips of an elks tines, kind of like how most folks confuse stickers and kickers, also by the way I got a wife, mother and three year old, I get corrected plenty at home or when visiting family.

But the point still remains someone scored somewhere and wanted to find out if they frequent this site.

I also say ain't and pert near a lot, is that correct?

Wow, sorry to piss in your Cheerios! Take your meds, everything will be OK.
BTW, never heard anyone refer to the tips of antlers as "Ivory", and was not trying to start a pissing match.

Ivory is white right, aren't the tips of elk antlers white in many cases, as in your avatar.

no pissing match, I prefer to keep my pisser out of view of other guys, enjoy what you will.

I guess being a smart arse is cool if you add the little emotiocons and stuff, otherwise you are in need of medication and causing trouble.

enough out of me

Quote from last months eastmans' hunting mag, The Albanian Elk Hunter.

Back to the thread at hand, I wasn't sure if that was a Kali critter, unsure of the late seasons for elk here, or if it was an out of state hunter that lived near Santa Barbara.

A Boy named Sue, great song by one of my favorite singer/songwriters.

I was just funnin along with him, but I think he thought I was upset.

But dang it I want to know if there is another hunter in this area that got a Tulie.

Litch, your in over head, when you do shoot your 1st bull elk you will find the IVORY'S or WHISTLERS in the front where the k9 teeth are and NOT in the back of there mouth by the molars.

Anyone and everyone who hunts elk, knows that the tops of the antlers are called IVORY tips.

You blew your cover by making such a stupid statement, now go back to your elk hunting video game.

Bearclaw,
I apologize for turning your thread into this, guess my attempt at humor was lost and out of place. I really was not trying to stir anything up.

Litch: I saw the humor. I was thinking the same thing. If Bearclaw would have shot a bear by now, he wouldn't be so pissy. He can be a miserable jerk sometimes. Not really. He's actually one of the coolest guys I know. Funny as hell too.

Can't we all just get along, really I have kicked my dog twice today so I feel better.

I almost wrecked when I saw the tines sticking out of the truck, the kids had just fallen asleep after two and a half hours of screaming, and saw antlers, I could have seen a mulie rack as well, but I was trying to not crash while staring.

Litch no hard feelings dude, just messing with each other, I like to ruffle feathers at times but want to make sure we all end it in a fun way.

Back to your regularly scheduled program.

Thanks Bearclaw, no hard feelings here either.
I'll try and post up some pics if we are successful in Wyoming. We leave friday for a migration hunt near Jackson. Looks like the weather is in our favor starting next week.
Hopefully we will be sporting "Ivory" out of the back of the truck as well!

Mike,
Yeah, we waited until mid-November to go hunt Cows.
Should be an interesting trip, many stories, hopefully with big Bulls, to follow.
