Hello,

I am looking for suggestions on digital cameras in the price range of $300 - $400.

I want to use it for outdoor photography and would like to make prints from the photos. Probably nothing larger than 5 x 7 prints.

It would be nice to add lenses to the camera to increase the zoom at a later time.

I don't know much about digital cameras and thought I would start by asking here.

Thanks, Robert

Robert - For ease of use and "bang for the Buck" I suggest you look at the HP 850 and Olympus C-730. These have long zoom range and you can add a teleconverter or other lenses later. I have the C-730 and love it. WB

Look for the new OLY c740 or c750. Both have 10X optical and 3 and 4 (C750) mega pickles

They are in the 400-500 range, so it will be very close to your budget.

I have an older C700 and would not survive w/o my 10x optical. Although Mine is only 2 MP's, it will still print a 5x7 as long as the original pic is of high quality.

The c730 is a fine camera like Wildbird said ass well.

Thanks for the info. I am now looking at the C-750. It's over my budget, so I might have to save for awhile, but I think it will be worth the wait.

Thanks Again

Hood, I think they had the C-750 at Fry's. I just got my C-740 at Costco for under $500. Don't know if you have either one of these in your area, but it might be worth while to look.
I really like my C-740, and the 10x is why I picked it along with the cost.
