I'm looking for a new pair of midsize (8x42 or 10x42 ish)
binos in the $200-$300 range.
I spent a lot of time reading the reviews on the "Better View Desired"
site. On this site, the Swift models pretty consistently get great ratings for
the quality of their optics for the price. Unfortunately most of the Swift models he tests aren't waterproof and "armored" for shock. Ruggedness doesn't really seem to play into his ratings.
Anyway, Swift has a new model the "trilyte" considered a hunting model.
Its the right price and has the right goodies: waterproof, coated, armored,
roof prizm, leight weight, but I can't find any reviews and really don't want to be a
guinea pig.
Anybody gotten their hands on these? Anyone have hunting (i.e. rough handling) experience with any Swift binos?
The others I'm considering are Bushnell Legends and Nikon Monarchs
binos in the $200-$300 range.
