I just call the warden and he comes to my house. Local fire and sheriff wouldn't sign it. Keep the head in the freezer. I live in OC.

I go to the local PD, they like to see the deer I think. Had a couple validated by USFS peeps too. I did have one jerk Fire CApt up at Lake Arrowhead refuse to do it. I asked him nicely as his party entered the Cedar Glen cafe and he said he would do it when they were done. When we all got ready to leave he was pretty nasty on me bugging him for it. 2 minutes tops but it was too much for the Capt. to handle I guess.

Here in D8 I sometimes hunt above the National Park, so if I harvest a deer I must drive through the park to get home. The park rangers are authorized to countersign; but I would never stop at the office with a dead animal in my vehicle even though it is the nearest agency on the way home.

Despite that countering the law, it makes sooooooo much sense.
