After my buck the wife and I were seeing 0 to 4 does a day for over a week. She had an opportunity but couldn't be 100% sure it was legal since it was in a dark section. I was 99% sure, but I always preach if you're not 100% don't pull the trigger. He finally turned and took off and he was a decent fork. We went back in the next day and bumped them in the exact spot. My oldest came up Friday and I told him that's where I'd head for the afternoon hunt. He wasn't gone more than 90mins and we got a text of buck down.

It rained Friday night and boy what a difference! My youngest decided to hunt with me and we were back in camp by 10am with 2 nice 3x2's for him. My oldest punched his last tag in the final hours on Sunday with a decent forky. Now on to duck season!

I love deer and pig hunting in the rain! Light snow isn't bad either ;).
