Me and several of my partners went out to our favorite hunting area of Colorado for the second season
boy it was hot, crowded and slow hunting for the most part
we ended up with two bulls and two cows for six hunters
not bad according to the game warden there.
But as usual we had a great time camping and packing out the elk
Here are some shots of the animals

Great job!. Nice bulls. Very tough hunting in the heat and a full moon. I'm out of here Wednesday morning for the third season deer and elk. The weather looks just as bad. High 60's for the opener on Saturday. Unless we get some freak storm it will be another year of tough hunting.

Didn't see one single legal bull last year and very few bucks. Congrats again guys.

Nice shootin. That hot temp hunting sucks. It just doesn't feel right.

You got that right 75 degrees is not what I call ideal hunting weather
they were definity dug in the brush until after hours so it made it hard hunting there....

Congrats guys during a hard hunt! What part of Colorado were you hunting? My buddy and I leave tommorow for third season and are hunting near Pagosa Springs. Last year was dismal, and hopefully this year is a little better.

Nice job!

We've had really warm weather the last 2 years for 2nd season. Not any fun at all....

Congrats on the elk. One thing I've learned in my short 3-year elk hunting career. Elk hunting is not easy and having weather conditions working against you makes it even tougher.

Congrates on the good hunt but as for heat... try A zone Aug. for blacktails or pigs.
