The Tanzania game department has just sanctioned that all Bow Hunters wishing to hunt Tanzania will need to pay DOUBLE ALL Goverment fees on top of double the Trophy Fees! this effectively "shuts down" bow-hunting in Tanzania altogether as it now means the fees are just about prohibitive!
There was a lot of confusion at the beginning of the season regarding bow-hunting which had just been "re-opened" after almost a decade. Initially it was announced that only the trophy fees would be doubled for animals taken with a bow. The first few bow-hunters acted as guinea pigs for the rest with mixed results!
