Tejon 3/14 shared hunt

Hello,
Anyone else get drawn for March 14 shared hunt in Tejon? Well... I'm still in shock, never won anything until now a semi guided pig hunt. A buddy also a member on this forum and I will be there and we hope to see some else on this forum there too. This is our first time hunting the ranch and know nothing about the ranch or how the semi guide work. Were not new to hunting only new to the ranch and do have all gears. I'm relatively new to hunting and just left tejon ranch yesterday the roads were very manageable I did not see one Hog on the northside but again I am a rookie I'm sure everyone will chime in and help

Went back to north side yesterday
Lets just say the weather is very unpredictable
The fog made it real hard to see the narrow roads
Highly recommend some sort of mapping system and compass
The good news is I finally saw hogs

The key is be up when they are

And be ready for when they go fir watering

Which is usually before night falls

Again,

I'm a rookie and this is what worked for me

Still,
Have not tagged one

But the time at Tejon is worth every minute
Even if I never catch a hog

I would have won great moments

good luck on the share hunt! i was up last sunday for 3 hrs and saw over 30 hogs... the last one i saw was everybit of 320lbs. giant teeth and 350 yards from the jeep. pm me and ill see if i can help

just left the ranch!!!! saw a ton of pigs but they were very shy lol and for all u share hunt guys good luck.. lil advise.... u WILL NOT GET A HOG FROM YOUR CAR... way too much pressure..
saw a 180lbs + kitty cat too... chasing 2 sows and 10 babies

have not seen many hog pics from any one at Tejon this year. Must be a off year even for the regulars.

I was up this weekend gettin to know the south side a bit more. I got on a few at about 7 am but I had my bow and just could not get close enough for a good shot. But that was after hiking up and out a finger ridge about 1.5 to 2 miles if they didn't get out of the car they didnt have a chance.

Hey guys,
1 Hog down. Sorry to update so late. I have to travel straight from Tejon to Vegas for work so my hunt got cut short. Late start Friday afternoon arrive at the spot 5:00pm. Walk around a bit and 10 minutes later 2 wet sows with baby appear out of the cover. I wait it out and 2 shootable pigs show up. I pick the biggest one and drop it at 125 plus yard down hill shot. Its took an hours trying to get it out of the hill. My guest 140 to 150 lbs. Hunt hard Saturday morning with the Tejon guide trying to get a pig for my buddy but no luck. No one else in the group get pig as of Saturday night. We have blast and really enjoys hunting this ranch. Can't wait to get home to cook up this pig. Sorry, I don't know how to post photo. my pleasure! where did u get hog? i have been up twice so far this month... and the hogs are scarce.... i know the better than most and even old faithful spots have been slow! tejon is hunting the shit out of ranch, i think to get numbers low for incoming houses... been up there hunting for 9 years and this is by far the most pressure the ranch has seen!!!!
