You just never know what you're gonna get up there, huh?
We'll roll with it. If the ranch is open, we're hunting. Stay tuned for updates as they occur.
Otherwise, current plan is to let's all meet up at Laval Road at the truck stop at 0900 on Friday morning. I can't recall if it's a TA or a Pilot station, but it's on the East side of the interstate right at the foot of the Grapevine. Our check-in is scheduled at noon at the Vaquero cabin, which is down the Wheeler Ridge Rd a bit.
If there's anyone that doesn't have my cell number, just drop me an email and I'll send it to you. If you can't find the party Friday morning, just call me.
I took these pics while pig hunting Tejon this past weekend with my wife. I thought these would get you guys excited abut your upcoming hunt. Good luck!!
Thanks, NatureDriven! That's all I needed... now today and tomorrow are REALLY gonna be dragging by. Nice shots...
SD, appreciate the clarification.
All you guys on this hunt, the check-in has been bumped up to 1300 at the Vaquero cabin, but let's keep the 0900 meeting time and go from there. If we get to the cabin before Ron, we can do some shooting and relax a little bit.
I thought those looked like cows at first also. Those pigs were gigantic. I've killed a 275lb. boar off of Tejon in the past and these looked much larger than the one I killed. My wife and I were stunned. We actually stalked those pigs, unfortunately we didnt see the pigs under the tree's in the second pic and busted them. Just my two cents, the pigs are everywhere up there. Find an area where you see lots of tracks and stay in that area! They will be back. Especially with a little rain, you'll find there movements easily.
SWEET!!!!! I can hardly wait......I dont think ill be sleeping tonight.......maybe Ill just head up there now and wait for everyone???????? Hey everybody looking forward to this hunt and meeting everyone!!! Im ready to roll.........cocked locked and ready to ROCK!!!! See you all tomarrow!!!
