Just got off the phone with BDB... here's the scoop...

They saw 25 pigs this evening, some were reportedly HUGE!

Hronk drew first blood... the pig got away, but they think it was a good hit and they hope to recover in the morning...

No other arrows were fired...

Speckmisser and crew watched a mountain lion watching BDB flop around with a dislocated shoulder...

Yep, it's true... 10 minutes after bailing out of the truck down some steep terrain BDB jigged when he should'a jagged and went assoverteakettle down the hill, and his blew his right shoulder out in the process... he's OK, but won't be hunting anymore this weekend.

...and the lion story is true... Speckmisser will have to fill us in with all the details...

One down with a bad flipper already. You don't need an arm to run from a kitty.

You also don't need both arms to bowhunt with. Remember that woman who shot the arrow wif her feet? Use the feet BDB.

This will be good.

Well hopefully BDB can get the yoter unstuck in that pothole by the Chevron station outside the cabin with one hand, just kidding.

Did they mention how the mountain looked as far as greening up and such?

Maybe Speck will put it together and keep the Goat from sideswiping a tree, them thar trees is protected in Kalistan.

BDB, there's still hope...I saw a show last year where some dude had shoulder surgery before his elk hunt. He just rigged a release onto a strap anchored at his shoulder area. He attached the release to the string and then pushed the bow out with his good arm. Once sighted, he just fingered the release.

He fellas, make sure you save some hogs for me, I'll be there March 6,7 and 8.
<
Better yet, spend all you time in camp tossin' back a few and leave all them hogs for me.
<

Oh, and if you cruisin' the road and that lion happens to jump out in front of ya, it's an accident and not a crime. Last time I was there I found the remnants of a lion that looked to have been torn apart by a big boar, it was SWEET!

Good luck fellas...

We talked about that last night... his LEFT shoulder has been dislocated FIVE times, and he was planning to have surgery on it this year or next. He had NEVER dislocated his right shoulder, until yesterday. He says it is jacked beyond belief, and I suppose he would know. In two weeks he and I have a hunt planned on a ranch that borders Lake Sonoma and he already told me he won't be bow hunting, and probably won't be rifle hunting... it's the .44 in his left hand or nothing.

Poor guy!

There's nothing wrong with his legs! Duct tape a knife onto his boot, so he can kick a pig to death!!

He'll need to get a disabled waiver from DFG (like they give to guys to allow them to shoot from their trucks)... but given his proclivity for stumbling, I dunno if having a Bowie sticking out of his boot is a good idea...

But you know what is a good idea? Save BDB t-shirts! I'll get in2blacktail working on that right away!
