'Nother Newb here. I've gone on 2 guided hog hunts before so that means I know just enough karate to go out and get my butt kicked. I want to learn to hunt public land and this sounds like a great transition. I've been wanting to hunt Tejon Ranch for a few years now. I'd love to meet you all out there if you have room.

What's the average range most hogs have been taken at Tejon in your past experience(s)? I ask just so I can get an idea of what hardware to bring. I hear you about getting set up for non lead pills. Thanks for being willing to organize this, Speckmisser.

TackyDriver...The shots can vary. I would have to say most shots run from 40 yards all the way out to 200 yards. While hunting Tejon you can be presented with many different situations, based on the terrain you are hunting. It truly is an awesome place to say the least.

Thanks for the word, Hoghunter. It will be interesting to see how winter shapes up. I've been hearing that we're in for an El Nin~o this year, with a lot of rain.

Dang XD...That is so damn true...lol. During the 2nd Annual JHO Ham Slam I had a group of hogs (7-10) Friday afternoon being chased by some cows and the damn things almost ran me over. I ended up dumping one as he ran by.....Never can tell what will happen at Tejon....

Not to speak for Speck, but I would want to keep track to whom I send apps to only because he is ultimately in charge of the group and any misshapes can come back on him and make him responsible for errors by others.

Just a thought...... see you all in May.

Thanks, Mark. That's really what it comes down to, and I believe it's the reason that Tejon hasn't started doing these electronically. Sticking to paper actually easier to keep tabs on who gets what... and to make sure they're getting the right forms.

I appreciate the thought, though.

The bright side is, we are one of the last groups to get the simplified form. I just saw the new packets, and there's a whole stack of paper!

I'll be doing the Spring membership again this year, but plan to be hunting during this weekend and will stop by and say hello.

This is an awesome opportunity for anyone who's always wanted to hunt pigs in California without paying an arm and a leg. You'll get around a 40-50% chance on a successful pig in one of the most amazing places on earth. Lots of good guys joining you who are ready to lend a hand whenever needed, and regardless of your experience, you will learn a lot.

The last WPM hunt in December was around 95% success. The hunting has been getting good and from all accounts it looks like this year will be awesome.

See ya'll out there!

Since it's been made real clear everywhere but here I thought I'd make sure and get this out front. This hunt is not "sanctioned" by JHO or me in any way. Any problems or questions need to addressed to Phil (speckmisser).

This year we have to get together for a hunt. Hunt some pigs in the am and shoot some squirrels before lunch time.
I also want to see how the UTV works for you might have to get one for our group of hunters that hunt the ranch.

Can't wait for February!!!

I have not mailed anything out. Been busy as a one-legged man and all that... nobody has missed out yet.
