Can't wait for this hunt again. I spoke with Maddi today over at Tejon and I will take over this hunt and organize it for next year if that is not a problem with anybody. The question is do we want to stick with a May date or or try and go a little earlier in the year for cooler weather.

You cannot predict the weather very well at Tejon it's a crapshoot as I found out yesterday up there, still fun though........

Speckmisser(Phillip),
We have never met in person.........but over the years reading your exploits, postings and adventures here at JHO.........I feel that more or less we at JHO has been blessed tremendously by your selflessness and community spirit. I for one know for sure that your exhilirating blow by blow accounts of your hunting saga has kept me excited even just sitting here at my computer. So.............many, many thanks for your annual leadership at the Tejon hunts............which makes for great reading afterwards of the hunting exploits and dramas. Thanks, Phillip for many enjoyable evenings at the computer following your postings and contributions at the Tejon hunts. Thanks again and God Bless, always.

Couldn't make it this year, Things happen. But I am glad that this event is going to continue. I have some great memories from these hunts. A great big thanks to Phil for his time and efforts!!! Hope you can still make it out to hunt! Thanks to Jesse too for always making the event better with campfire raffles and free stuff. (and pig guiding LOL). See you next year.

jb229, I haven't talked to Maddi yet but since this was a JHO hunt for many years I'd like to keep it a JHO hunt. If you'd like to help out with the hunt we'd sure could use you. I'll call her to see about pinning down a date for next year.

Late May would be the best as it's not that hot yet and hopefully it won't snow or rain as much as an earlier hunt. As some have said you can never predict at Tejon.

No problem Jesse, Maddi should be emailing me some dates for next year. As soon as I get them I will shoot you an email and we'll get this all squared away.

BBQ'd some of the ribs the other night, came out pretty good.
Gonna get a smoker and brine and smoke the hams. (inspired by ltdann's before and after post)
Probably gonna make some carnitas and have a taco party soon too.
