Tejon hunts

Any idea as to when they will post the dates of the 07/08 Wild Pig Managment hunts?

I'm supposed to talk to Barbara tomorrow. She just got back from vacation, and I'd bet the calendar for the year is the first thing on her list.

I'll pass along any info I get about the regular hunts, as well as potential dates for the JHO hunts. I may try to work in an additional rifle hunt this year, hopefully early in the year along with the regular late spring/early summer hunt.

I'm perty sure that their brochure came out a few months ago, announcing the dates. I'll check in my Tejon file....
Yep. I have them. This year they are going to stagger the dates over North and South. Jan 11-13 North. Feb 1-3 South, and so on. I like that idea. It gives us ten different dates to work with. Not sure why they are doing it. My guess is so that they can run guided hunts on the non-POR side. If I were on a guided hunt and saw a camp with fifty campers in it, I'd be a bit bummed out.

I talked to Barbara on Thursday, the packets will be sent out in the First of October. The hunts are split up into seperate dates for the north and south side. The first south side hunt will be on Dec. 14 thru 16 and the north side will be Jan. 11-13.
