I am really leaning towards that January hunt.

I think I can pull it off if Rancho brings more of that linguisa we cooked on the grill?

I'll buy if you fly...

Deadducks, sorry man - no linguisa in January from me...I'll be doing a bowhunt there in Feb, and then the May shindig, hell or high water.

MapQuest says 6 hours and 44 minutes..I'm thinking more like 5 hours flat....With all the added weight on the return trip, maybe closer to 7 hours..

Now, if we can get "SuperDuty" to join us from good ole Elko, NV....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........

Hey Speck I was interested in the May hunt. I see you said that one usually fills up pretty quick so could you let me know the dates when you know. I have a couple guys I work with that would like to go also. I haven't hunted Tejon yet, but have always wanted to. Thanks

Dates and all are listed in the thread at the top of the forum.

Sign-ups for May will probably start right after the January hunt.

Hoghunter714 - time to sign yourself up for the January hunt AND the May hunt. That'll make up for missing the one last spring.

Speck, Would love to do the January hunt, but I'm gonna be in Little Rock, Ark for 5 weeks (Jan 7th-Feb 8th) for work, but May just might work.................

Little Rock?

Little rock?

Dang boy, you'll find a lot more action in Gorman than you will in Little Rock!

But if you get over to Hot Springs while you're there...

Orso, right now all spots are open, as I haven't even sent out any apps yet. Send me your info (I know I should already have it, but I don't).

To all...

I'll probably start sending out app packets to those who've requested them next week for the January and February hunts. As always, your spot isn't reserved until I get your check and PROPERLY COMPLETED application packet back in my hands.

Barbara has always been real lenient about improper paperwork in the past. If you left something off, or forgot to include your tag, proof of insurance, whatever... she'd call you and work it out. But the new policy for this year is... if it's not completed properly, it will be sent back to you. If you don't get it corrected and sent back in time, you're out of luck. Read the paperwork carefully and DOUBLE-CHECK to make sure everything is done right.

I think I did. If the request did not bounce, then I got it.

When I send out apps, I'll let everyone know. If you requested a packet and don't get it after I make the announcement, let me know then.

This is off topic, but is the Live Chat working? I tried it just now and was redirected to Game Cams. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry to interrupt your thread.

I seldom, if ever use that feature, Doc. I do know the system just crapped out on me for about 10 or 15 minutes. Try again, then post up in the HELP forum if it still doesn't come out.

Just a note...

I'm not seeing a ton of interest in the January hunt.

I will still send out applications, but if we don't make the minimum (25 hunters), the cost will be higher. We can still do the hunt, but I don't want anyone to be taken by surprise if the price goes up.

If you want to attend the January or February hunts, you need to start looking at getting those application requests to me.

I haven't been to tejon for a few years because in my opinion they overhunted it for awhile and the majority of the pigs taken were pretty small. This last year, however, we've gotten a lot of very large 350#+ hogs coming from tejon. It sounds like they are managing it better. If you get one on the guided hunts, make sure they tag it by tying the tag onto the snout or leg. They usually cut a hole in the ear and tie the tag through that leaving a big hole for me or other taxidermists to sew up and it often shows. Good luck.
