My hunting buddy just called and we talked about hunting Tejon in December. We both scored pigs in February and have hunted Tejon before in December (the first day we hunted in snow!). Just wondering if anyone here is considering hunting the ranch.

I'm thinking about Tejon in December also. I scored there in Feb. of '05, got shut out there last Feb ('06). I'd like to try in December. If anyone else is thinking about going I'd like to partner up - I may be goin' by myself.

JHOers may be holding off for next year's POR which was well organized (thanks Speck), fun and with everyone helpful whether in giving you tips where to look for hogs -- and even in hauling your pig from a steep ravine.

I'm signed up for the DEC POR. As of Friday, the south side is sold! My huntin' buddy SDHNTR was a day late. He's on the alternate list. If you want to hunt the Dec POR, you'd better get your paperwork off today for the north side.

Talked to Barbara today, and my buddy and I are both signed up for the south side. Last March, we both pulled out a hog, even through all the snow and rain. Have any of you hunted up there in December before? Should I expect as much mud/snow as in March? I'll keep checking this and maybe we all could actually meet at the campsite!!! Good luck to you all, I'll be trampin around with my bow, so hopefully I'll get luck.

B: December is hit or mess. It could be a serious mess, or you could hit it perfect. We had it perfect last December. So, we're probably due for some serious weather this year. Hope not. See you there.

B: Probably my F150, Silver, lifted, JHO sticker. We'll try to set up by the 2005 Model I JHO Custom Skinning Rack. See you there. We're leaving the rifles at home and taking our bows. If it's as good as it was last Dec, we should have plenty of opportunities to whack a hog or two.

I'm a mellow driver now. I've settled down with age. Let's just hope it don't rain. I'd say, we have a 50/50 chance. Even if it does rain, we'll find the hogs. I have a secret honey hole that will produce.

No worries Speck. I swear, Speckmisser Ridge is only used as a last resort on Sunday morning. By then, we'll be tagged out! Yo!
