I'm hunting tejon next weekend (south end, rifle). I've never hunted there before, any suggestions. Any proven areas on the south side? With the weather sign should be easy to come by. I'm not a newby to hunting, just the ranch. Hook me up! I didn't get a buck this year, I'm dying to put a bullet in something, even if it is copper. I'm gonna camp, is getting a spot hard?

Plenty of room for camping. Get up high with the binos and glass for pigs. If you don't see anything in 20 minutes or so, drive to another high spot and glass some more. Keep doing that until you find the hogs. Once you do, the race is on. Don't waste any time getting on them. When they are moving they move fast. I don't think any areas are better than the others. They are where you find them. They're going to bedding down in the bottoms where it's thick. You pretty much have to catch them out feeding. With this weather, they might feed all day, and then again, maybe not. If you get really hard up, you can stalk through the thick stuff, as a last resort.

Good luck.
