Alright alright, let me get that dang video edited... wasn't the best video but fun anyways... the pigs never really fully charged but came in fast multiple times to within 10 yards before changing their minds. I'm sure Kel's "grunting" had something to do with it LOL!

ok give me an hour or so I'll post i up.

thats what hog hunting is all about.....

guys i wish we could haved gotten the big boar who was closest to me on video better...as i saw him through my scope, all i could see at 3x power was 2 3-4 inch chompers and saliva foaming from his mouth as he was grinding his teeth....he kept posturing up and down as he got closer then backed off....trying to make himself look bigger than he was...looked like an older boar on his way down as his bottom teeth were huge but his body was a lil on the smaller side like 200lbs...we got close to the pigs you see n first in the video the next morning within 5yrds and then these ones were maybe 10yrds....
we finally found a black and white hog, but couldnt tell if it was a sow or a boar...thats next on the hitlist.....well keep u posted...for all you who hunt tejon and are having a tough time finding the hogs you are welcome to join us anytime we are up there, we have 2 polaris rangers and have seen over 100 pigs on every trip. and have a great time every trip...
thanks damian for getting that video up....

cool video. I have had similar situations. I think the boars bluff charge long enough to allow the sows and little ones to get moving out of the area. Just my theory but a good adventure anyways.

Cool video. I have to say though, I think I would have rolled one of those pigs while it was on the road! Especially from I've heard about Tejon!

Yeah when they were on the road there was at least a good 30 seconds of shot opportunity on several pigs 150-200lbs, some of that before the video started.

We had already both decided what kind of pigs we would take before hunting and these weren't what we were looking for (a 250+ bow boar in my case and a calico boar in Kel's case).

Not recorded, we got into another couple groups of hogs earlier that morning as well, had 3 medium size boars spot us at 10 yards and run right by us within spitting distance. Had a big old boar (250ish) within 100 yards but only showed himself for a few seconds before he was long gone. He was a shooter for the rifle and I think if he stayed put a few seconds longer Kel would have dropped him!

Hunting day or overnight trips on the Tejon spring access for us has become more fun just getting out there and learning, getting into hogs... Not really focused on getting one all the time. On that trip we were mainly trying to get a buddy a pig but he had to leave early and missed all the fun. That was the kind of opportunity we were hoping for him!
