Tejon Ranch South: Worth It?

I recently relocated to LA, and considering joining Tejon for the Spring 2018 season. Are there any current members who could offer their opinion on the ranch?

I hunt almost exclusively archery now. Are there any portions of the ranch that are designated archery only? Because I am coming from LA, the south side membership likely makes the most sense. Any thoughts on that portion of the ranch?

If you have the $$$$$$$$$$, they have the game and property to accomodate damn near any type hunt you want.
At least that is what this popper Hunter has been told, Tejon is what is at the end of a hunters rainbow.
But then they have been selling some land for a community and some other controversy my have taken its toll.
I'm sure there are $$$$$$$$ hunters from Tejon here, the'll know better than us poor Public land Hunters. :smiley_green_with_e:rotflmao:

Thanks for the info, Opah. The Ranch's reputation is definitely stellar, but trying to glean some more info before I commit. I ran a half marathon there last spring and it definitely looks like hog country.

The south side is good iv killed pigs there before i think the archery only area is on the north side

I don't think they will be offering a spring membership this year... is what I was told when paying for my fall membership. The pig hunting isn't what it used to be. We are out every week , have cameras set up all over the place and see very few pigs. The drought was hard on the swine.

You heard right. I called yesterday and was informed that they will not be offering spring memberships for pigs; only small game.

But based on your report it sounds like it wouldn't have been a good investment. Oh well, back to the drawing board I guess. Does anyone know of any other ranches within a few hours of LA that offer similar membership setups? Does WU have any decent properties down here?

WU can put you on the ranch next door to the great Tejon. I'm not sure of the rules or how much you can hunt that ranch each year. But it's the Cummings mountain ranch. They have the same animals that are on the other side of the hill. Also lots of private land up there. For the price you are willing to pay. Maybe could get some private access. Just saying.
