I am throwing the towel in on public land. I have only seen a few pigs at FHL and I have gone 9 times. It was when they opened area 22 and I was new to hunting with a shotgun. If it happened now I would have some bacon /sigh. Anyways I am seriously considering going with a buddy to Tejon for one of the wild life management hunts. I have read a lot of great things about them and seems there is a great deal of success. Seeing as it cost me almost 400-600 in gas to get from Camp Pendleton in my Jeep to FHL I may as well spend that money on some place a bit closer to home. At least that is how I am selling it to the wife as she claims while I have success at deer hunting her Hawaiian ancestors put me to shame in the piggy department. All joking aside what is a good rate of success there at the ranch? Opinions or guesses are fine, just needing a nudge to spend the money. I am not afraid to hump it, I usually cover 10 miles or more a day on foot at FHL
