I've had a few folks email me about Tejon Ranch because I was there with grtwythunter on Saturday.

The weather was perfect, nice and cool in the morning with no wind, then turning to mid-70's by the afternoon. Evening came with some light breezes, but nothing more.

The grass is high most places on the top. As you head into some of the protected valleys (very little sun), the grass is still green and a lot higher than the other areas.

There is a lot of water still running in creeks and such, but nothing like it was a few weeks ago. On the same note, the roads are in pretty good shape, but there are some ruts and erosion areas not exposed because of the tall grass. We ran into one hunter who had to walk a ways to ask for help because his truck dropped into one of these hidden ruts.

The hogs are all grouped up in one oak tree grove. About 9,864 of them, from small to large. The GPS coordinates are: N 33° 57.732 W 118° 26.566 When we came upon them, they all stood real still hoping we wouldn't notice them, but of course there was a spotted one that sneezed so it blew their cover. grtwythunter made me promise not to tell where they were, but I couldn't keep all those hogs a secret any longer...

I did separate my 400lb calico hog and two other bigguns from the group. Tied a little sow up with 'em so they can enjoy their last days to the fullest.

As much fun as I had flipping squirrels, I had hogs on the brain the whole time.

Scott, did you see 9,864 hogs as well?

Ok, up for grabs. One brand new bottle of Patron for the first shot at that tied up hog.

Just dont tell Speck, he can smell those bottles in my truck already.

Thanks for the map, Tim! I know JUST where that spot is.

Yuppp... all you guys suffering up and down those rough Tejon roads, I'll be thinking of you as I shoot my hog right from the pavement.

Hey! That's Outlaw's Bar and Grill in Playa Del Rey.

Come to think of it, I have seen some pigs there.
