She looks bigger than that, I bet you get around 45 or so lbs from her.

Brent, I heard you had a way with the ladies, you shouldn't have let them photo it in action, now everyone has the secrets of "Mr. Tinks #69".

If you had been wearing hog in heat instead of doe in heat you would have had them boars sniffing your crotch like those does.

Dirtpoor:

I want one of those hats. Where do you buy a hat like Dwight Schuh wore for Sitka deer.

After three trips to the ranch without a hog I finally scored at Tejon this weekend. I am a fairly new hunter and took more time than most to learn from my mistakes and put it together. I have also had some great advice from more expereinced hog hunters, thanks vinswitch, and the tejon guides(Bron and Ron) we a big help too. There were 6 hunters in our group this weekend. We took four pigs for the group, two sows and two boars. It was nice to fianlly score! I saw more hogs than ever on the ranch and applied an adage I live by on the ocean.....don't leave fish to find fish. Lookinmg forward to another trip soon.

Congrats. That's awesome on a tougher than normal weekend. Were you hunting the south? The willows? What were you driving? Just wondering if we crossed paths.

Brent, I made mine out of a brown ball cap and I stapled oversized foam ear's to it, and where the bill meets the cap I drew eye's. you don't have to get on your knee's just bend at the waist and keep your head down, I used it in Colorado to get into some elk , when they heard me and looked up from feeding I lifted up just over the brush so that they could see my profile and cow called, as soon as they saw the ears they went back to feeding. CAUTION!!! very dangerous to use when you can shoot either sex. I carry it on my pack until I need it. I looked into patenting the idea but no one wants the liability., Bill

Thats funny! I saw Fred Eichler hunting Dalls in AK. He had on a white smock with a white helmet and plywood horns screwed into it. It was hilarious but seemingly effective.

Tejon's website is down and I cant even get a phone number for them. I was wondering how much they charge to hog hunt on the property?

It's $400. But you might want to join the upcoming JHO POR next year which is loads of fun and lessons in pig hunting from the more experienced JHOers.

Bowhntr, that's some funny a** sheet!!! I seen the Dall sheep hunt too and the outfitter was laughing his arse off too. Seems like a legit idea, despite the obvious room for jokes.

I would love to do that. How do I get the details and who do I need to talk to? I think a couple of my buddies would like to join in on that too.

P.S. The deer ear hat is freakin killing me!

We hunted the North side. You and I met a couple of years ago on the South side on my first hunt. We were a larger group drinking JD ( I'm sure that really narrows it down).I think at the time you mentioned you were moving out of the area. You we kind enough to provide some good advice at the time, thanks it finally paid off. Pics are forthcoming and will post soon. Needless to say I am hooked.
