Weedin out a few more.......this doesn't make any sense but I guess it is a privilege to hunt on the ranch....im still in....most amazing place to hunt in southern cali....
so you pay the 1250 to set foot on the ranch and help them reduce their vermin and you get the ability to camp? If you want a pig you have to pay 450 per hog am i reading that correctly?

Yeah and dont forget the extra $450 if you want to bring the wife and kids.
I was seriously considering it @ last years price. No way now. Cant pay $1250 to just shoot coyotes and ground squirrels. I have tons of public land for that.
I dunno it just seems to me that you pay all that money for access they should include at least a package deal sort of like the bars in the south pay the club fee to get in the door get a free well drink. Sure its not prime but at least ur getting something back..
I could see there being a value to that steep of an access pass if you got one hog or turkey or some minor game package. I am not saying they need to cut the hunters loose on their pricy game just let us help them weed out something we might actually want to have in our freezer.. pay ur access fee get a free pig or turkey your choice yada yada.
With that fee do you get unfettered access privlages for the species you are hunting for? say i pay the 1700 to kill my first pig will i be told that i can only hunt in certain places?
basically what i am wondering what is the point to paying all that money.. is it 100% success rate? someone explain the value to me cause frankly im not seeing it at this time. But i will admit i am making alot of assumptions and we all know what assume means..
Tntent yes you can travel the whole ranch....and honestly I'm sorry to say it but I'm glad all you guys are sayin it's too much...the ranch is amazing, pigs,deer,elk,bobcats,antelope,yotes,lions,bears,....where else can you get that 45 min from la...
Hey, you don't get free food when you buy an admission ticket at Disneyland. Right?
And the prices at the theme parks keep going up too.
I am sure package deals would be a welcome addition for the "fortunate ones".
A reduction for returning hunters would seem fair as well.
Not my business... Just my :two cents:
