I never hunted Tejon, but I have a few buddies who have. I hear there is a lot of good areas on the south as well as the north. I have a friend who has hunted tejon twice and he swears by the south side..I'm sure theres a bunch of guys on here that can answer your question better..Good luck...

Wild1,

This doesn't make it easier for you, but both sides can be awesome. I have always hunted the South side, but that's mostly because I like going back to an area I know pretty well.

Lots of guys would tell you the best hunting is the North side. I think there are just hogs all over the ranch!

Good hunting, whichever way you go.

One thing to watch out for is that folks have reported that on rainy days, the dirt roads in Tejon turn to instant GOOP & with Suicide Gulch yawning at the edge of your tires on the high elevations, they say be prepared with good MUD tires, plenty of tow rope etc. Would surely ruin a good hunt weekend to loose a beloved ride in those towering Tejon elevations. Good hunting. larrysogla.

My first hunt was on the south side. Since, I haven't been able to convince myself to try the north. I get to know the south better with each visit, like an old friend. However, people say the same thing about the north side. I would go with whichever half is closer to your house. It would take at least a half hour off the drive home. Good luck.

I would go with the South side also. It's all good though. Good luck and enjoy the ranch.

My family and I have been hunting the ranch for the last two seasons. We have killed several hogs all on the south side. We spend a lot more time on the south side, that may be why our success is better there, but it just seems more "piggy" to me...

Good luck,

Jason
