Went to Texas last week for hogs, nilgai and javi's. Great trip. Nilgai are an Indian antelope that was brought to Texas in 1930 and have become free range. We hunted a low fence operation there and the animals were very wary. Most shots were long requiring 30 cal rifles and usually more than one shot. I got lucky and put one in the boiler room with a .300 wm 180 grain TTSX he went 30 yards and piled up. Bullet performed very well with a perfect mushroom and was found just under the skin on the far side. We also shot hogs and javi's. The nilgai came in at just at 500 lbs. Great eating animal all steaks and roasts for this guy.

Thanks, will end up with about 200 lbs steaks and burger on the nilgai. That's a USO 3.2-17 with a lit Barret reticle in it.

It was a Weatherby at one point in it's life but then it was re-barreled and tricked out by JP. It shoots just under 1/2 moa and I love it.
