Okay, I promise to try and limit myself to one new thread for a weekend... I've been having too much fun with the new camera.

These pictures are from a drive today through the Adirondack Mountains.

Not too much color in this one, I just liked the view.

Hideandwatch, I went from Rome, NY and followed the yellow highlighted routes. It really should have been a two day trip, I didn't take much time setting up the pictures with a tri-pod or doing anything else, all of the pictures were hand held with fast shutter speeds (it was a 10 hour round-trip drive from home). If I had more time, I would have went to the area around Interstate 87, there is a lot of history in that part of the state.

Clutch where are you from? I live about a half hour outside Rome. And I have a camp in old forge. Here are a few I took a couple weeks back while trying to fill last years antlered tag at camp. They are from the Moose River. If you are planning on going back up I would highly recommend going around the high peaks (Saranac lake area).

Clutch that last one you posted looks like bald mt. pond but alot of ponds look very similar up there. Cody here are a couple from Cranberry lake. I took these while at the bio station for ESF. I was going through norfolk on a weekly basis last year for work.

The first two shots are from black duck hole, the third is east inlet, the fourth is a small pond/bog up behined the bio station and the last is just looking across the lake from the bio station at sunset.

I was working up in Oswego/Fulton last summer for the NY dept of ag and markets trapping for an invasive wood wasp. You might have seen one of the traps around.
