All I can say is AWESOME and INSPIRING. If I can acheive even 1/10th of your success I would consider myself lucky. I learned a lot from this thread as I am sure a lot of others did. Keep the pics and stories coming. As a new hunter, and trying it with a bow, I can appreciate the number of hours you put into this sport and the years you've spent cultivating your skills. I have wanted to get into hunting for a number of years and never found the time. Since my son was born last year, I decided to make the time so that I can pass the sport on to him. Even if I never come close to an animal like that with my limited experience, I hope that as my son gets older he will have more opportunities in the outdoors than his old man did.

I shoot a compound now but have been toying with the idea of getting into traditional. What kind of bow (recurve, long bow, poundage, etc.) would you recommend?

KWB, when are you going to start giving guided hunts? Sign me up when you do. And can I get one of the 1st editions?

Thanks for the inspiration....

KWB,

Do you use any type of scent control and if so what do you use? Clothing like ScentLok? Cover scents? Odor eliminators? Or do you just play the wind?

Thanks,
Tim

Outstanding hybrid Dave.......Is he a 3x3? Hard to tell by the photo, but the one eye-guard looks huge. Congratulations amigo.

Great buck, a view from the front would be good to see, he's got great brow tines, looks like a whitetail.

You got it wired, congrats.

Thanks Guy's, he's a 3x2 with eye-guards, shot in zone D-11, I only got 2 pics before battery's went dead, had him for over an hour at 25 yards in his bed.

He finely got up and started to pick up acorns, he came to my shooting window, I was already at full-draw, he stopped and picked up another acorn and my arrow was on it's way, it caught him flat footed, he only ran about 70-80 yards in 10 seconds and went down.

He was a HOG, vary mature buck, just not symmetrical, his neck was swollen and he was read for the rut.
