I spent most of the day sunday on stand. On the way in I noticed alot more rubs, mostly on small trees. Just before last light a doe was standing right in front of me at less than 10 yds looking my way (Iwas up wind) she never even seen me and just moved off and continued browsing the corn. Then at last light a decent buck (couldnt tell the points) walked out to my right behind some tree branches and leaves, he then was hound dogging low across the corn in search of that doe. I am sure that when I climbed down and walked the corn out of there that I smelled a strong buck urine smell. Hope it gets colder soon.

I went to the timber around 11:45 to look for a straight tree I could get my climber up in to try and ambush this buck I have been seeing. I found one possibility, but I didnt have a chance to trim a couple branches off the tree nor trim some shooting lanes into the harvested corn field. The buck was in the corn about 140 yds to my s/e and the wind out of the n/w. I backed out after I got a look at him, he "acted" as if he wasnt bothered by me being there, or didnt scent me.......He just kept browsing the corn along the treeline. I hope I can stick him.

Hey Hideandwatch. Last weekend the bucks came out 1/2 before dark ahead of the does. Two 4 pointers and a small 5 pointer. We had some pics of a nice 8 point and 6 point but never did see them. Farm is up near Lewistown in NE corner. They fed on the harvested corn in the fields

Good luck this week.

Hey Jesse, It may be that it is a little colder up north for you to have them moving earlier. I have been sick (bronchitus) and havent sat on stand since last Sunday. Maybe I can get out this afternoon, if not, I am off the 26-29th and will for sure get out there. It was 30 this morning with a good frost on the ground (No Skeeters). Good luck!

Sat in the climber late in the morning. Nice slow drizzly rain, walked up on a doe on the way in at 8 am. Didnt spook at all, just walked into the timber. About 2 1/2 hrs later 3 does walked out followed by a 5 point, feeding on the leftover corn. Then a small bobcat came by, hope I see the cats in Nov. during the furbearer season, Ive always wanted a cat mount. Didnt see anything in the afternoon except for a gazillion turkeys. Good luck!
