I think the reason the pig dropped on the spot was because the shot went right under the spine. It just missed it but the shock may have rendered the pig paralyzed. This is just a guess. My friend's pig did run a few yards (20 to 30) and then dropped. I'm exited for deer season. I'm an archer as well so I want to go out next week. We'll see how it goes.

That's nice and close. From the vid I thought it was 150+ yds and with that fast shot I was thinking "that guys a scary fast shot....wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley." Nice shooting, regardless. It's always a good thing when a pig drops right there. They're tough critters.

It's an effect of the wide angle on the GoPro. Makes thing close seem super close and things to the sides and far seem even farther.
