These does let me walk within less than ten yds of them to take this shot. It is in town where the herd is huge. The deer on the property that I hunt wont let me within 50 yds without, blowing, stomping and booking.

Yes, photographing a hunted animal is much more difficult. We have an urban deer population here also. Deer are tolerant of people out to about 50 yards. If one tries to get closer, they run off, but if you stay put, one can get some photos without them spooking.

I was out at a local state park back in the spring and walked within bow range in an open golden rod field with about 70 deer in it.

They are thinking about opening it up to archery. I have found ceders in there bigger than my thigh that have been completly stripped of bark (from rubbing). I really hope that they open it up because there are som monsters in there.
