Does anyone know with the weather were having when they think the Rut will start and when will the peakof the rut be? Anyone have special tatics while hunting the rut?

I think what you have to look at is the sunlight issue. The shortening days seem to play the biggest part of the whitetails entering the rut. The cooler weather helps in the fact that the deer will move more during the day. In the past few years, the warm weather caused most of the rutting activity to occur at night.

I think that you should start to see more movement in about two weeks and keep your fingers crossed that the weather stays cool.

Remember that some of the best hunting occurs when the deer are chasing the does in anticipation of them entering their estrus stage. I see more deer before the actual breeding begins.

Get out there during the end of October and first week of November. Those times seem to be the most productive for me.

Im in agreement with StringShooter,the 2 weeks he talks of seem to be the best time.
