The Tule Elk are singing.....

I'm sitting here at the pc with the window open and listening to Tule Elk bugling across from the house. Probably less than a quarter mile away. I was working in the yard earlier and thought I heard one bugle but only a couple of times. But now there are a couple that screaming there heads off. It's going to be a long few weeks coming up and I've never Elk hunted. Want to though. Especially with a bow.

I wouldn't be able to sleep and it would be time for me to burn up some sick time. Even though you aren't supposed to (educating the Beasts), once I hear the elk bugling, out come the diaphrams and I'm trying to call 'em in.

Of course no hunting until the season, but it is ALWAYS exciting to see how close you can get.
