Yup...............night ambushment of hogs is an experience a California hunter rarely sees unless it is a depredation permit hunt. Wow...........night thermal vision capability...................that is awesome. The most I can hope for on a full moon Texas hunt with illuminated reticle riflescope is around 50 yds........................100 yds. is barely visible as a faint hog black shadow in the hayfield............still doable but very iffy. With a laser beam sight mounted on the rifle...............on a full moon Texas night hunt................50 yds. is already iffy since without the advantage of peering thru a riflescope............the hogs are barely visible as a faint black silhouette at 50 yds. on a full moon. 25 yds. is very good with laser mounted sights on the rifle.
It certainly gives you the shakes when you have a herd of a dozen medium sized hogs under the treestand at 10 yds. to 25 yds. on a full moon just ready for the taking with the squeeze of the trigger. California has definitely many, many restrictions on hog hunting that becomes a novelty and an adventure when you go out of state to more liberal hog hunting rules.

It's $550 per night for two nights. That's really not much more than here, and they provide almost everything....
